The Blood of Dawnwalker has seven endings. Four are full story endings decided in the final quest A Deal with the Devil, two are early endings you can trigger almost immediately after the prologue, and one is the bad ending for running out the 30-day clock. This page gives you the exact count, what each ending is called, and the one-line requirement for each.

The Four Full Endings

These are the main story endings. All four require you to defeat the three Boyars, finish within 30 days, and reach the final quest A Deal with the Devil. The only difference is your dialogue choice and which ally questlines you completed.

  • The Turncoat — Betray your allies and strike a deal with Brencis. No final boss fight.
  • The Folk Hero — Defeat Brencis entirely on your own. Hardest version of the fight.
  • The Patricide — Defeat Brencis together with Lacra. Requires her full questline.
  • The Knyazmaker — Defeat Brencis together with Crake and the Manumit. Requires the Manumit chain.

The Two Early Endings

These count as completing the story for the completion achievement, but they do not satisfy the Duelist difficulty requirement.

  • A Hero They Deserve — Escape Vale Sangora immediately after the prologue. Abandon everything.
  • Together Forever — Stay with your family forever in the looping dream during Home Sweet Home.

The Bad Ending

  • Time Runs Out — Exceed 30 in-game days. Your family dies in Brencis’s castle. No trophy, and The Turncoat route is gone for that run.

Why Players Think There Are More or Fewer

The confusion comes from three places:

  1. The two early endings feel like jokes — A Hero They Deserve and Together Forever can be triggered within the first few hours, so many players miss them entirely and report only five endings.
  2. The bad ending is easy to avoid — If you manage the 30-day clock well, you may never see Time Runs Out, and assume there are only six.
  3. The Turncoat has no boss fight — Because you skip the final battle, some players think it is a failed state rather than a true ending.

How to See All Seven in One Playthrough

You need two saves:

  1. Master save — Before A Deal with the Devil, finish both Lacra’s and Crake’s questlines, then make a manual save. This one save unlocks all four full endings through dialogue reloads.
  2. Early save — Any save before the prologue ends lets you trigger the two early endings.

The bad ending requires a separate run where you deliberately waste time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does difficulty change the number of endings?

No. All seven endings are available on every difficulty. Duelist difficulty only requires that you use one of the four full endings to complete the game.

Can I get all endings in one run?

You can get all four full endings plus the two early endings from a single playthrough with smart saving. The bad ending requires a separate run.

Which ending is canon?

The developers have not confirmed a canon ending. The Turncoat, The Folk Hero, The Patricide, and The Knyazmaker are all treated as valid conclusions.
