Best Boyar Missions: Which Court Activities to Do First

The best court activities per Boyar in Blood of Dawnwalker: which mission chains pay the most for your time segments, and which to prioritize before each duel.

With 41 court activities spread across three Boyars, the question is never whether to do them — the anger meters make them mandatory — but which ones buy the most month for the least clock. The activities differ in region level, reward texture, and the decisions they hand you, and sequencing them well is the difference between a relaxed month and a day-29 panic.

Best Boyar missions cover

The Framework: What an Activity Buys

Every court activity pays the same two currencies: Boyar anger (roughly three-quarters of a lord’s content maxes their meter, per the court activities guide) and Infamy (the court-wide wanted level whose nine tiers gate the finale and summon Brencis’s Edicts). Most also pay XP, silver, and — through the chains — skill points the boss duels assume you have spent.

So “best” means three things, in order: safe to clear at your current level, rich in chain rewards, and located where you already are. A mediocre activity next door beats a great one across the map; travel is the hidden fourth cost.

Ambrus: Do First, Do Most

Ambrus’s network — prisoners, collectors, transports, dungeons, cellars, plus named side quests like Shadows in the Woods — sits in the Briar Sloughs and Maragir Wealds, tuned from level 1 up, as the boss order guide notes. His content is the month’s warm-up: the region is gentle, the chains teach the court loop, and his duel (The Gilded Gauntlet) is the fight the game expects first. Poisoning him before the duel is the single biggest difficulty lever in the whole court arc, and it happens through his own content. Prioritize his transports and prisoners early — they pair naturally with the region’s story beats — and let his anger climb on schedule.

Bakir: Do Second, Do Selectively

Bakir’s twelve activities — distilleries, pillories, transports, rebel hunters, and the Uriash Village thread in the southwest — assume level 20+ and a mid-game build. His content is the richest in decisions: the distillery chains hand you real moral choices, and his region feeds directly into the Lunar Game tournament where ally-recruitment makes the fight. Do enough to hold second place in your schedule, but do not over-invest before The Gilded Gauntlet is won — his anger meter is a promise you will not want to keep at level 15.

Xanthe: Do Last, Do Deliberately

Xanthe’s activities — her excavation sites, gargoyle manufacture, and the abduction-rescue threads around Howling Keep — are tuned for level 25+ and are the hardest of the three networks. Her content is also the most consequential per mission: her spare-or-kill decision reshapes the endgame more than any other mercy choice, so arriving at her duel with her content genuinely understood — not just cleared — pays the game’s largest single dividend. Save her network for when the build is finished and the month can afford the attention.

The Honest Verdict

The do-you-need-all guide answers the completion question; the sequencing answer is: Ambrus early and often, Bakir second with selective depth, Xanthe last with full attention. Skipped content does not vanish — it returns as castle minibosses at the finale — but ordered content lets you clear each duel at its intended level with its intended preparation, which is what the thirty days are for.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which single activity chain is most rewarding? The ones that gate allies and shortcuts: Ambrus’s chains unlock the poison plot, Bakir’s feed the tournament allies, and Xanthe’s unlock her endgame bargain. Reward here means options, not silver.

Do activities respawn or run out? The 41 are the pool for the run; the court activities guide covers the full structure and what each type pays.

Should I balance anger across all three Boyars? No — finish one lord’s arc before starting the next, in the order above. Split anger across three meters means three unfinished arcs and a finale that bills you for all of them.

What if I fall behind the level curve? Do Ambrus’s chains for silver and XP before touching Bakir’s region; arriving there underleveled is the most common cause of “the Mad Khan is too hard” posts.
