A Mother's Plea Walkthrough: The Hidden Uriash Quest

A Mother's Plea in Blood of Dawnwalker: how to trigger the hidden, missable Uriash Village quest, find Osha, and what the elder's reward is actually worth.

A Mother’s Plea is the kind of content The Blood of Dawnwalker hides on purpose: no map marker chasing you, no exclamation point, and a miss window that closes if you play the valley in the wrong order. It lives in the Uriash Village, inside Lacra’s orbit, and it is the hinge between two quests that most players complete backwards — if they complete either at all.

How to Trigger It

The chain runs, per community verification: A Friend Like This → Song of the Mountain → A Mother’s Plea → The Heart Wants What It Wants.

A Friend Like This begins quietly — an alley on the north-east edge of Svartrau City below the walls, where Focus Mode picks up yellow-outlined objects leading across the rooftops to a vampire encounter and a conversation that starts the chain. Song of the Mountain follows the trail to the Hidden Uriash Village, where the elder receives you — choose the peaceful dialogue lines and follow her through the village. Her request is the plea itself: her daughter Ocha left the clan, and without a line of succession the Uriash die out. She asks you to bring Ocha home.

The plea then marks its activity in the court menu, and the search begins.

Finding Osha

Ocha is not in the village. She is in Svartrau City — in a tavern, living the life she chose. Finding her starts The Heart Wants What It Wants, and the end of that quest presents the actual decision: convince Ocha to return to the village, or accept the path she has made. Both quests can also resolve out of order — if you finished Ocha’s side before meeting the elder, the plea stops the moment you tell her you already found her daughter and that Osha has “embarked on a new path in life.” The game, characteristically, remembers which order you lived it in.

What the Chain Pays

The honest ledger, per community accounting: the two quests together run about seven time segments, and the direct payout is XP, coins, and a couple of manuals — respectable, not spectacular. The signature reward is cartographic: the elder marks every Uriashi sacred stone on your map, and visiting them all unlocks Ravenous Flock, a Witchcraft-tree ability. Worth noting: Ravenous Flock is a fine tool but not a build-maker, so if your run is a vampire build, the time segments guide math may rate this chain lower than its intrigue deserves.

The real value is narrative: the Uriash thread feeds Lacra’s route, the Ocha guide covers the daughter’s own outcomes, and the whole chain is one of the story-affecting quests the epilogue remembers.

How It Breaks

Three failure modes, all documented:

  1. Skipping the rooftops. A Friend Like This never starts, and the whole chain stays invisible — this is the “hidden” part.
  2. Playing Ocha first. Completing her quest before meeting the elder short-circuits the plea at the first conversation. Not a punishment — but a permanently different resolution for the same people.
  3. Letting the clock decide. As missable content on a 30-day calendar, an unstarted chain late in the month is a dead chain, per the game’s own quest timing rules.

Recommendation

Do it — but early, and in order. The chain costs seven segments, pays its way in XP and manuals, and unlocks one of the game’s quieter achievement-adjacent threads. More importantly, it is the correct order to meet these characters: the elder’s plea lands differently when you have not already decided her daughter’s fate in a tavern three districts away. The best quest order fits it into the mid-month lull between court arcs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is A Mother’s Plea missable? Yes — hidden, missable, and time-sensitive. It requires Lacra-adjacent progress to surface at all, and Ocha’s quest order changes its resolution permanently.

What do I get for the sacred stones? Every Uriashi stone visited feeds the chain that unlocks Ravenous Flock on the Witchcraft tree — a status-tool ability, strongest for witchcraft-leaning builds.

What if I already finished Ocha’s quest? Tell the elder the truth: you already found her daughter, and Osha has chosen her own path. The plea ends there — a different ending to the same story, not a failed one.

Does this chain affect any ending? No finale is gated on it, but it is part of the story-affecting web the epilogue tallies — and of Lacra’s world in particular.
