All Sanzhana Locations cover

The Sanzhani - chubby, moth-winged, blue-skinned fairies who harvest enamel from corpses and barter in teeth - are The Blood of Dawnwalker’s strangest faction and its most generous one. Five of them are hiding in burrows across Vale Sangora, each with a task, and helping all five pays out in a currency no merchant sells: time. This is the complete location list, the quest rundown, and the reward math that makes the Sanzhana chain a priority on any calendar-tight run. The mushroom-ring trail markers that lead to their doors are covered in the mushroom rings guide.

The Five Sanzhani, in Order

1. Good Home - Svartrau Outskirts (Sandy Gorge Shrine)

The chain begins just north of Svartrau: from the Sandy Gorge Shrine, a quest marker sends Coen after fairy lights, and following the mushroom circles leads to the burrow of Sanzhani Tsarina - the faction’s queen and the hub for everything that follows. Her first task is the Good Home errand: investigate ruined Oghasti and the Wooden Palace to find Tonis, the coal burner, then return with three Shiny Teeth (a common drop from humans and the undead) to trade for his sister Heile’s freedom. The full Tonis dilemma - buy the meeting with drink money or earn it with honest labor - is dissected in the Tonis choice guide. No other Sanzhana quest spawns until Tsarina is met, so this is the gate for the entire chain.

2. Come Hither - North of Vedera March Guardpost Shrine

A nearby Sanzhana asks Coen to clear monsters from her burrow - specifically the Murohn, Malformed Monstrosity. Her sisters inside are already beyond saving, but the cleanup matters, and the burrow holds a bundle of Silk Threads - one of the rare components for the Arbiter armor set. Clear the beast, take the threads, and log the location for the armor quest.

3. Pearly and Precious - Small Bridge Shrine, Southeast of the Military Camp

Just over the small bridge sits an abandoned camp starting this quest. The Sanzhana here collects teeth from corpses bandits throw into a ditch - a living that improves when the bandits do not. Head southwest from her position, wipe out the bandit camp, and return. This is also the merchant connection behind the teeth economy: helped Sanzhanas become trade partners with deep, strange purses.

4. Burrow Sorrows - North of Boarback Trail Shrine (Northwest of Shrike’s Crag)

This Sanzhana claims Kobolds invaded her den and demands eviction. The kobold cave (crouch to enter) is a short trek north - clear it, and take the charm from their crude shrine on the way out, because the punchline is vintage Sanzhana: she was lying. The den was never hers; she wanted the kobolds gone so her kind could take it. The teeth-based economy, it turns out, includes real estate.

5. Tiny Dancer - Svartrau, Night Only

The final fairy hides in the capital itself, but only after dark: patrolling Svartrau’s rooftops at night triggers Coen’s hearing, and Focus Mode traces the noise to the upstairs of a nearby house. Enter from the east-side balcony, free the caged Sanzhana (key on the same room’s desk), and she points out silver stashed in a nearby room - a small but welcome payout in a city where silver is contraband.

The Rewards: Why Five Out of Five Matters

Each completed task pays immediately - a message from Lunka, Coen’s imprisoned sister, relayed through Tsarina. Lunka’s letters carry intelligence on Greifberg Castle: infiltration routes and what to expect inside, directly supporting the endgame assault (see the finale prep).

Finish all five and the real prize lands: Tsarina pushes Brencis’s coronation back by a full day - the only known way to extend the 30-day time limit in the game. On a calendar-critical run, that single day is the difference between a rushed finale and a prepared one. The complete chain also awards The Tsarina’s Favourite Human trophy/achievement, stocks a bundle of Silk Threads in Tsarina’s burrow (the other Arbiter component), and relocates every helped Sanzhana into the burrow as permanent vendors.

Timing and Routing Advice

  • Start early. The chain gates on Good Home first; beginning it in week one leaves room for the Lunka letters to arrive across multiple days - Tsarina releases one message per completed task, and each needs a visit.
  • Batch by geography: the Svartrau Outskirts and Small Bridge tasks pair naturally; Come Hither and Burrow Sorrows ride along on any eastern or northern circuit.
  • Watch spoilers: Lunka’s letters assume you are heading for Greifburg eventually; read them when ready for endgame intel.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to finish all five Sanzhana quests? For the time extension, the trophy, and the Arbiter silk - yes, all five. Individual quests still pay teeth money and Lunka letters.

What if I can’t find a Sanzhana? Each is anchored to a named shrine on the map (Sandy Gorge, Vedera March Guardpost, Small Bridge, Boarback Trail). If the marker is missing, the previous task in the chain is incomplete - the chain is strictly sequential.

Is the day extension repeatable? No - the coronation push is a one-time reward for completing all five tasks on a save.
