Who Is Farkas?

Farkas poses as the loyal jester-servant of Boyar Bakir, but from your first meeting he is recruiting you into his own scheme: he wants his master dead, and you are the weapon he has been waiting for. After you defeat Bakir in The Lunar Game, Farkas collects on the partnership — and that is where his storyline splits.

His motivation is not ambition. It is his younger brother Dusan, whom Bakir abused for years, leaving him physically and psychologically broken. Farkas believes one thing can heal him: the family’s amethyst ring, which Bakir once promised and never delivered.

How the Choice Starts

After The Lunar Game, search Bakir’s treasury in Focus mode — the ring sits in a small lockbox on a shelf in the northwest corner. When you leave, Farkas is waiting, and he wants it back.

One warning before the dialogue: claiming you could not find the ring does not work. Farkas does not believe you, and you still have to decide.

Outcome 1: Give Farkas the Ring (The Bad Ending)

Handing over the ring completes the quest immediately. Farkas is grateful, and you will probably never think about him again.

That is the trap.

Sometime later, if you visit Farkas’s house in Parlita on the east side of town, you will find it silent. Using Focus mode, pick up the journal, the jester’s hat, and the bloodied knife, then compel the corpse in the bedroom — daytime only. The reconstruction tells you what happened: the ring was never a cure. Its demonic magic possessed Farkas, and in its grip he murdered the brother he was trying to save.

• Anca (at the Crossroads Inn) — she recognizes the danger instantly and offers to take it off your hands, giving you a new ring in return. The pick for human-form and sword-focused builds.
• Bakr-Erga or the Sanzhani Tsarina — both resolve the ring’s magic for vampire-focused builds, rewarding the same Vrakhir’s Endurance amulet.

Outcome 3: Kill Farkas

Farkas can be murdered, and the game even lets it happen by accident — at night, with low blood, the hunger can make the choice for you.

If Farkas dies, his house locks permanently. Dusan’s ultimate fate in this branch is not directly revealed. The Ring quest still continues — the ring is in your hands either way — but the storyline’s human element is gone.

Which Choice Should You Make?

Refuse and take the ring to an expert. It is better for Farkas, better for Dusan, and objectively better for your build: the expert routes award epic-tier equipment, while giving Farkas the ring awards nothing but tragedy.
